Work at air raid shelter B near Heemskerk, 1939 - 1941 Canvas Print
The basement B is stripped of the concrete formwork. These bomb-proof cellars were built in 1940, after the shelters in North Holland villages proved to be not safe. The museum's collection items were evacuated there in 1939. In 1941 the new cellars were put into use.
