Portrait of a smiling young Surinamese woman with a bottle of 'Vinblanc' on her head. In the inscription she is referred to as a 'Carboegerin'. 'Karboegers' was a colonial term for persons of mixed descent, in this case 1/4 white and 3/4 black. Part of a collection of 68 postcards from Suriname, brought together in an album as a memento of a stay in Suriname in September 1911.
