Youth storm at Stadion Galgenwaard, Photo service NSB, 1942 Canvas Print
A long line of members of the Youth Storm stands at the entrance of the Galgenwaard Stadium in Utrecht on June 20, 1942. In the stadium they will attend the swearing-in of 3000 executives of the NSB. The ceremony of the swearing-in ceremony was the result of a compromise between the Germans and the NSB. The Germans did not want an oath on Hitler (which Mussert had secretly done some time before) the NSB. Compromise: Dutch SSers took the oath on Hitler, executives of the NSB on Mussert.
