Zuidvleugel, interior, landing 1st floor, 1923 - 1926 Canvas Print

Top floor of the stairwell in the Drucker extension, seen to the southwest. This interior comes from a mansion in Rotterdam. Stucco ceiling with built-in cupboards. At the bottom left, part of the trap baluster is visible. The wall display cases in the corners of the dome hall were placed in 1923; these were removed during the renovation of 1993-1996. Chinese wallpaper is applied to the walls. M.B.: Corner of the domed hall in the Drucker extension, with the richly cored banister in the foreground. View of two wall display cases with a display of Chinese blue and family porcelain (owned by Mr. and Mrs. Drucker-Fraser) Between the two cabinets, the wall is decorated with Chinese floral wallpaper and a portrait of Liotard. The domed room, from a Rotterdam 18th century patrician house, gives access to the so-called Drucker extension, which was completed in 1916. The rich stucco decorations symbolize the four seasons. The wall display cases in the corners were built in 1923 with porcelain in the same Louis XV style.
